....favorite tread patterns. I have an idea in my head for a little project i'm going to do with a graphic design buddy of mine.

It can be anything from F1 to super bike to desert truck racing but should be race tires even if you FoST has your favorite tread.

Sorry. Here's my honest answer. Back in the early '80s, my dad bought (or was sold) a set of these Uniroyal Tiger Paws. I remember the commercials. I don't think they were particularly good tires, but I always thought the tread pattern was cool. My brother blew the two front ones when he drove off the road and got a DUI. So there's that.

Sadly, I can't find a picture of the tread from back in the day.

got some on a set of wheels for my suby right before I sold it, I really should haev kept them for my civic's wheels and dumped something crazy cheap on the suby before I sold it. now my civic's summer wheels sit completely tyreless :(

It's a racing class limited to 275 width tires, stock suspensions, and no wheelie bars. I forget if they run 1/8 or 1/4 but I know some of the cars will do 8's in the 1/4 during testing.

I like these. Not that the tires were great (they were maybe C or C-), but the fact that they're track-used and worn-out corded. Best race tires are the ones that are finished, having yielded many miles and smiles.

thats a good one. I'm trying to get both wide and narrow set ups. The only wide one I got so far is a slick which technically meets the request, its just kinda not an interesting pattern

we're trying to make a design using tread patterns. I want it to kinda be abstract and to show the tread patterns of different performance (race) tires from different types of racing

Should have posted something like this. Any of the F1 full wet tires are amazing. Those are Bridgestones, of course, in the top image. But the tech in these Pirellis is pretty amazing.

now we're talking. I was thinking wide tires would be a hard find but thats going to work great. All I could think of was F1, dragsters, and off road racing 2/3 would be slicks but i didn;t think of rain treads for F1

The Red Bull Frozen Rush tires are pretty sweet looking. They run some pretty damn impressive studs. Huge pic is from the BFG racing page.
